It is with a sad heart that we share the loss of a dear friend and client of the Samaritan Center Gerald Munyon, who was run over while sleeping in an alley early 2019.

To add to the tragedy, we had just found him housing the evening before and it should have been his last night on the street. Gerald was a kind hero on the streets, often helping other homeless folks who were more desperate than himself.

One Simi resident remembers that when she fell on hard times, Gerald helped her until she got back on her feet. A good man, who will be truly missed.
